The Field |
Lacrosse is played on a grass field. The field is 110 yards long by 60 yards wide. The face of the goal (6 feet high by 6 feet wide) is situated 15 yds in from the end line. There are 4 positions in lacrosse (Goalie, Defense, Midfield and Attack). There are 10 players on the field at one time (3 Attackman, 3 Midfielders, 3 Defense and 1 Goalie). This is a game of endurance and the players substitute often. A competitive squad will utilize 5 Attackman, 9 Midfielders, 5 Defenseman and 1 Goalie in the course of a full game. |
